THE ESSENCE OF JAPANESE SOUND BATH

Resonance
Sound that
can be felt.
The vibration resonates
through your body, your mind,
and the space around you.
Resonance continues
beyond what you hear.
Sound becomes
something you inhabit.

Stillness
Silence becomes
part of the sound.
Silence is not
the absence of sound.
It is the space where
resonance continues to unfold.
Silence completes the sound.

Presence
Be fully
present.
Immersed in sound,
you become aware of your whole being.
For a moment,
nothing else remains.
Simply be.

FAQ
Everything you may want to know before your experience.
What is Japanese Sound Bath?
Japanese Sound Bath is an original sound experience created by SoniQ Ronin.
Using the rare Japanese instrument, Singing Ring, it invites you into a world of resonance, stillness, and deep listening.
Rather than simply relaxing, it offers a unique way to experience Japanese aesthetics through sound.
How is it different from other sound baths?
Unlike many sound baths that use crystal or Tibetan singing bowls,
this experience is centered on the rare Japanese instrument, Singing Ring.
Rather than focusing only on relaxation, it emphasizes resonance, stillness,
and the uniquely Japanese way of experiencing sound and silence.
What is Singing Ring?
Singing Ring is a rare handcrafted instrument made in Japan.
Its rich overtones and gentle vibrations can be heard, felt, and experienced throughout the body,
creating an immersive sound journey unlike any other.
Is this a private experience?
Yes. Every session is completely private and reserved exclusively for you or your group.
Unlike group sound baths, there are no other participants,
allowing you to fully relax and immerse yourself in the experience at your own pace.
The traditional tatami room accommodates up to 3 guests,
while the private studio accommodates up to 2 guests.
For groups of 4 or more, we can arrange separate sessions.
Please feel free to contact us before booking to discuss the best option for your group.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. No prior experience with meditation or sound baths is required.
Simply lie down, relax, and allow yourself to experience the sound.
Whether you’re new to sound baths or already familiar with them,
each session offers a unique and deeply personal journey.
What should I wear?
You can come in your everyday clothes.
Since you’ll be lying down for about 60 minutes,
we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that helps you relax.
During the colder months, blankets and heated mats are provided for your comfort.
Do I need to prepare anything before the session?
No special preparation is required.
Just arrive a few minutes early, wear comfortable clothes, and come with an open mind.
We’ll take care of the rest.
How long is the experience?
The sound bath itself lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Please allow about 80 minutes in total, including a brief introduction before the session
and time afterward to relax, ask questions, or simply enjoy the lingering resonance.
If the available time slots don’t fit your schedule, feel free to contact us.
We may be able to arrange an alternative start time, depending on availability.
Can I fall asleep during the session?
Yes, and many guests do.
As your brain naturally shifts into a deeply relaxed state, it’s completely normal to drift off to sleep.
Some guests stay awake, while others take a peaceful nap — both are equally natural.
So there’s no need to feel embarrassed if you fall asleep. It simply means your body has relaxed.
Where does it take place?
The experience takes place at carefully selected private venues in central Kyoto.
Both locations are conveniently accessible by public transportation.
If you book through our online booking page, you can choose your preferred venue.
For bookings made through our inquiry form,
the venue and meeting location will be provided when your reservation is confirmed.
